Developers/Engineers
The development or redevelopment of property within the ECUA service area may have an impact on ECUA’s capacity to provide services. Some new developments, such as a new single-family subdivision, may require the extension of water distribution and sewage collection system mains. Developers and their engineering consultants may access important information concerning planning, review and approval through the links below.
Request for Service Information
Print out and complete the Request for Service Information form to inquire about the presence (or nearest presence) of ECUA water and sewer lines in the vicinity of a specific parcel of property.
New Commercial Service
Is the property currently served by ECUA? Are water and sewer lines present in the street right-of-way?
If yes, print the Single-Service Connection form form and submit with a map of the project’s location to the ECUA Engineering Department.
If no, go to the ECUA Engineering Manual for instructions on submitting plans to extend or upgrade water or sewer lines
If you do not know, submit a Request for Service Information form. The information provided in response to the request should help in answering yes or no to “Is the property currently served by ECUA?”
New Lift Stations
Lift stations are required for connecting a building’s wastewater system to the ECUA system when it is not possible to connect by means of a traditional gravity-flow service lateral. New lift stations are considered a type of extension to ECUA sewer system. Follow the link to the ECUA Engineering Manual for instructions on submitting plans for a new lift station.
ECUA Engineering Manual
The ECUA Engineering Manual is the primary document for use in planning, designing and constructing extensions to ECUA’s water and sewer systems. It contains Design Standards, Technical Specifications, lists of approved materials, Standard Details, information on policies and procedures, and forms and documents needed.
