Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) Employees’ Golf Tournament organizers presented a check for $9,000 on Thursday, June 6, 2013, to Ms. Carol Carlan, president of the Sacred Heart Foundation.  The donation was made possible through proceeds from the 2013 golf tournament held at the Scenic Hills Country Club on Friday, April 26. Ms. Carlan added, “Over the past 15 years, the ECUA Employees’ Golf Tournament has contributed over $142,000 to the hospital’s ministry with children.”

According to the ECUA Employees’ Golf Tournament event organizers Bill Ellis, Doug Gibson, Ron Doolittle, and Bobby Rogers, “The tournament is successful because of the financial support we receive from the various sponsors and participants in the annual event. We are very proud of the excellent work the Foundation does in our community and we feel blessed to be able to contribute,” commented Ellis.

“We are truly appreciative to all the ECUA Employees who organized and supported this annual golf tournament. In 2013, your generous gift will be used to support Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart. We are dedicated to provide Healthcare that is safe, Healthcare that works and Healthcare that leaves nobody behind. Thanks for helping us make that happen,” said Ms. Carlan.

The ECUA Employees’ Golf Tournament contributions to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital have helped to make it a state-of-the-art facility, and Northwest Florida’s only Level III intensive care nursery, serving 14 counties throughout the region.
