UWF FSBDC GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING SERVICES PRESENT, “HOW TO DO BUSINESS WITH EMERALD COAST UTILITIES AUTHORITY (ECUA)”

Free Event Offers Information on Doing Business with ECUA

Tuesday, October 18, 2016, the Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC), will offer a free workshop entitled, “How to do Business with the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority” (ECUA). The event will be held at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, 40 South Alcaniz Street, Pensacola, FL 32502, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The informational meeting will educate attendees about the potential of doing business with the Authority, while increasing participation in obtaining future contracts. Participants will learn about the bidding process, qualification requirements, future business opportunities, and how the ECUA hiring process is conducted.

The featured speakers will include; Bill Johnson, ECUA director of engineering, Tony Howard, ECUA senior purchasing agent, Frances Webb and Chiquita Payne, HR generalists.The workshop is free; however, pre-registration is recommended. About ECUA: Originally founded as the Escambia County Utilities Authority in 1981, the Authority’s name was officially changed to the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority on June 29, 2004. The ECUA is a local governmental body, existing under the laws of the State of Florida to provide sanitation collection, water, and wastewater services.
