On Thursday, October 6, under a bright blue Northwest Florida sky, a Spanish sister-city delegation arrived at the ECUA’s Central Water Reclamation Facility (CWRF) in Cantonment.

Mayor Antonio Campos and Councilman Jose Luis Garcia lead the four-person delegation from Pensacola's sister city of Macharaviaya, Spain. While in Pensacola, the delegation toured the water reclamation facility to see first-hand how the advance wastewater treatment process operates.

In April, the CWRF was named a top three finalist for the 2011 Global Water Reuse Project of the Year by Global Water Intelligence at a worldwide conference in Berlin, Germany.
