ECUA Innerarity Point Water Main Upgrades

The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) is implementing a “Water Main Upgrade” project, which will
replace old, undersized water mains with new larger mains.  The project work will also include
installation of new service lines from the upgraded mains to the individual water meters.  This will improve water transmission and pressure in the project area.  The project will also allow the installation of fire hydrants where necessary.  The additional hydrants will enhance fire protection in the project area.

Due to the nature of the construction for this project, there will be moderate disturbance in the right-of-way
next to the road.  This action will require minor excavation around the water main.  ECUA customers can expect to encounter a brief water service outage when the transfer is implemented.  Property owners will be advised of the timing
of these service interruptions when the progress of the work allows the change-over to the new mains and service lines.

Effective Wednesday, March 14, 2012, field crews began project work, operating off of Innerarity Point Road between Cacica Street and Balderas Avenue.  Streets impacted include:  Cacica Street, Mullet Lane, Mavilla Street, Sundown Road, Sandview Road, Bob O' Link Road, Cruzat Way, Galvez Road, Massey Drive, Gant Avenue, Gorham Road, Balderas Avenue, and Utica Avenue.

The project is expected to be completed in October.
