Bulky Waste Pick-up Services:

Items accepted are: Furniture, such as: Couch, Mattress, Desk, Chairs, Dresser; Rugs and carpets; Vacuum Cleaners; Bicycles; Bags of Clothes; Grills; and Toilets.

Customers are not required to call-in to schedule or receive a pick-up. Items should be placed at the curb by 5:30 a.m. on the regular collection day, but no sooner than 48 hours before the collection day.

Pile the bulky waste items(s) at curbside, in an area that is free of over hanging tree limbs, wires and/or cable boxes, and being careful not to block traffic.
ECUA will collect two 6’ W x 6’ D x 6’ H piles of bulk items weekly.

Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Pickup

Taking advantage of ECUA’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program is a great way to dispose of unwanted household hazardous materials in an environmentally responsible way.

It’s easy to participate in this program! Simply email us at customer.service@ecua.fl.gov, or call our Customer Service line (476-0480) to request a pick-up of your HHW items once per month. The pick-up will be made on the first Saturday of the month following the called-in request.

On the appointed Saturday, ECUA crews will collect your HHW materials at your doorstep, making it as easy and convenient for you as possible. When you call to make your request, our Customer Service Specialist (CSS) will ask you what HHW items you wish to have picked up, and will provide you with instructions on how best to prepare those items. You’ll be directed to place the HHW at the front door step or garage door on the day of collection (preferably not at the curb to prevent vandalism or a potential safety hazard). Please make sure that your HHW items are in leak-proof containers or encased in a plastic bag, and to label the contents of the container if the material is not in the original manufacturer’s container.

Items in the HHW Program pick-up list include swimming pool and household chemicals, paints, used cooking grease, lawn and garden chemicals, and used motor oils (see detailed list here).

Together, we can keep our community beautiful in an environmentally responsible way!
